Returning home from the Balkans during the 1930s, Iris Carr boards a train. After a blow to the head Iris, is befriended by a Miss Froy - former governess to a family headed by a baroness travelling with her poorly sister and medical staff. When Miss Froy disappears everybody denies ever seeing her,claiming Iris mustve imagined Miss Froy, after the knock to the head. Only language student Max Hare is sympathetic and even he has doubts. When a German woman is produced and passed off as the missing lady, Max unwittingly becomes part of the plot to dissuade Iris from her search for the truth.

Ovo je rimejk antologijskog filma "Dama koja nestaje" iz 1938, godine, koju je režirao neprevaziđeni Hičkok, a glavnu ulogu tumačila je Margaret Lokvud /Margaret Lockwood/.
Tu staru verziju vredi pogledati u Kinoteci ako je budu nekada prikazivali.
odlican film....moje preporuke
Film ima zanimljivu radnju čiji zaplet traje sat i dvadeset minuta, a poslije toga u narednih 3 minute se sve završava naprasno, iako logično, ali doslovno u tri scene. Na svu sreću, film nije trajao dulje od sat i dvadeset pet minuta.
Onako, moze da se pogleda, ali nista specijalno. 5/10
Ovaj film ima čak nekoliko rimeka ali nijedan nije prevazišao Hičkokov original. "Sreća" te imam dovoljno godina da sam i njega odgledala.
Tko god je napravio rimajke Alfreda Hitchcocka je pogrešio. Bolje je, da si ogledate original, ako možete. A i ovaj nije sasvim loš. Ocena odgovara. 6/10!
